Raw Food Diet – Vegans
Within the raw vegan category of the raw food diet, there are also those who can be classified as fruitarians (only fruit), juicearians (only juice) and sproutarians (only sprouts). However these classifications are rather vague and for example one purported fruitarian in Australia might also eat some salad on occasion although predominately fruit. The kinds of foods that a raw vegan might eat are vegetables, nuts, seeds and sprouted grains/legumes etc as well as of course fruit in most cases.
Whilst for people, the concept of being a raw food, raw vegan might be the only option, for animals, one can see that a great majority have a primarily raw vegan diet as well. In the instance of elephants or rhinoceroses, we can see that this type of diet does not do them that much harm apparently – of course a proviso is that they might eat some types of animals incidentally – nevertheless, a raw vegan diet is their primary intake apparently. Many people say that after a while, a raw vegan diet does not work for them, so all types of diet should be closely monitored
to see how one is doing.
